Benetton Kids SS 15

Spring is coming, don’t despair in this miserable weather. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I am a sucker for Italian photo shoots. Growing up I have spend many summers in that neighborhood, it lets me relive part of my childhood. I also like to highlight brands here that I grew up with and that still deliver year in year out. When I saw Benetton’s 2015 spring collection I had to share.

How can you go wrong with puppies, vegetables, and scooters? The flower shirt dress and chucks would look so cute on my 4 year old.

Riding a scooter in Italy has been a lifelong dream of mine…

Have a lovely day,

Sofija

Raspberry Plum FW 2014

Raspberry Plum is a new brand based in London. However the designer Aleksandra Stasic was born in Serbia, and moved to England as a child. I am eagerly following Eastern European designers, and am always happy when a good one like this arrives on the scene. Raspberry Plum is all about classic design borrowed from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, yet with the modern child in mind. Fabrics are soft and stretchable.

Have a great day,

Sofija

How to Kiss a Frog AW 2014

How to Kiss a Frog is a company from Sweden, who shot their fall 2014 collection on the beaches of England. I love how they pulled off a cowboy and Indian theme on a beach! Take a look.10577094_10152252186590877_5630970989032806826_n 10599432_10152273979095877_7812475948945105706_nHOWTOKISSAFROG-AW-14-dragged-8-e140819216158710565237_10152197254100877_7254360248996810657_nDouble--e1408192445541HTKAF-115-e140819255382155-e1408192632109The floral dress (last picture) is my favorite. But I am also liking the handsome look of the boy’s shirts. Who would have thought you could combine snake patterns with cowboy hats and boots and make it look fabulous?

Have a lovely day,

Sofija

Oilily Spring/Summer 2014

If you have been following this blog for a while you’ll know that I am a huge fan of Oilily, the quirky Dutch company. Their photo shoots never disappoint. Check out their spring/summer 2014 line.

oilily spring 2014, 1 oilily spring 2014, 2 oilily spring 2014, 3 oilily spring 2014, 4 oilily spring 2014, 5 oilily spring 2014, 6I love how they go all traditional with this line, adding their fun, colorful mismatchy touches they are known for. The red checkered cardigan is my favorite. And I am always a sucker for striped socks. The dutch clogs remind me of our first trip to Europe in 2000. Back then we only had one child (kind of hard to imagine). We dragged the poor kid all over Europe; he was barely two. We were in Holland for my friend’s wedding; and we had bought Finn a pair of the famous clogs. Back then he was really into shoes and he was so thrilled to clack around on cobble stone on a quiet Sunday morning. You could hear the him from far away. Funny the reaction we got from the locals. It was either “oh, how cute is he!”, or “look at these silly Americans!”.

You guys have a great day,

Sofija

Iglo & Indi Winter 2014

Iglo and Indi is a children’s clothing company from Reykjavik, Iceland. Their clothes range from newborn to 12 years. The following collection is for this fall and winter. Take a look.

Their clothes are designed for comfort and to mix and match. Some pieces are gender neutral, which is great for my crew of 4 girls and 2 boys. I can totally picture my 7 year old in the dress on top.

Have a lovely day,

Sofija

Kidscase Fall 2013

I recently found out about the children’s clothing company Kidscase. They are from Amsterdam and strive to use organic materials and pay fair wages. Take a look.

Their cozy knits seem perfect for this exceptionally cold winter. As always I appreciate when designers combine design and comfort.
